Renewable energies such as solar and wind power depend on the weather. On sunny and windy days, more electricity is often generated than the grid can absorb – excess energy is lost or has to be curtailed.

For these large loads, it makes sense to use hydrogen as a storage medium. Hydrogen serves as a long-term storage solution in addition to battery storage.

Our Solution - H2 Energy Plant

Our hydrogen storage system makes renewable energy predictable and available at all times. Excess electricity is converted into green hydrogen, stored, and flexibly used as needed:

  • Re-electrification via a fuel cell for continuous energy supply
  • Heat generation for buildings or industrial processes
  • Direct use as an emission-free energy carrier

Unlike conventional battery storage, hydrogen enables long-term, loss-free storage and can thus ensure a year-round, grid-independent energy supply.

Innovation meets Experience

Our History

In the spring of 2022, it all started with a simple idea: "Let's do something with hydrogen," suggested Timo Schrand, managing director of a family business with longstanding expertise in pipeline and plant construction as well as working with technical gases.

This impulse marked the starting point for the planning of the H2 Energy Plant, initiated by Paul Hoffmann. What initially existed only on paper is now a reality: an innovative hydrogen facility that is not only pioneering but also reflects our commitment to sustainable energy.

Today, a dedicated project team of six experts is working on the H2 Energy Plant. Together, we combine our knowledge to master hydrogen in all its facets – from production and storage to application.

Our mission is clear: We want to harness the potential of hydrogen as the energy source of the future and create solutions that make a real difference – for industry, the environment, and society.
